Quench Lip Rescue = Life

I’m a sucker for freebies.  And I strategically time my make-up purchases when they offer free gifts with purchase.  It’s the best way to try out new products. I recently came across Tarte Cosmetics and tried their Quench Lip Rescue lip balm, which is also part of their Rainforest of the Sea Collection, and have fallen in love ♥ I am not a lipstick person but when I tried their nude shade, I was sold.  I ran to Sephora (because I hate paying shipping & handling) and picked up their nude lip balm.  I don’t leave home without.  It leaves your lips so moist and non-sticky, while giving your lips a  healthy, youthful glow.  It’s perfect for everyday wear. And if neutrals are your thing, you definitely need this product in your life.

Just a few of my favorite things 😉

If you’re not sold on the $19 price tag, try ordering their Limited-Edition Gym Bag Grab Essentials.  It’s currently on sale for $12 and it’s full of  goodies, you are sure to love.

Simple DIY Halloween Treat Bags

treat-bags-top-view

Last year I found myself running through Target trying to find last minute Halloween goodie bags for my daughter’s school.  Needless to say, attempting to purchase and make Halloween treat bags 2 days before Halloween is not the best plan.  So I turned to my all mighty Pinterest for some last minute DIY ideas.  Long and behold, I ended up making some of the cutest Treat Bags ever!  Using brown paper bags, (which can be purchased at a dollar store) you can print a cute halloween message to customize your bag.  (For more information on how to print your paper bags visit Domestically Speaking.)

I also found these adorable halloween tags  to add a unique touch to each bag.

These lunch box joke notes are also a cute add-on.

Kindergarten Here We Come!!

I can’t believe its been a year and my little munchkin is going to be in Kindergarten!  I promised myself I’d be a lot more organized this year. The time really does go by fast, so like millions of moms and dads, we have to begin the year with the traditional “First Day of School” photograph.  This year I found a really great printable for Zoey’s First Day Photo and it’s free and editable! So you can save it in your files and use it for next year and make the necessary edits to reflect your child’s grade and interests.  I recommend printing on card stock paper or inserting the sheet into a frame.

A great way to also close out the year is to take a “Last Day of School” photo to document how much your child has grown in that school year.

Good Luck to all our kiddos beginning a new school year!
